English Ridge

From the beginning of May 2025, we’ve been working closely with the client and designer to position the home with the natural grades and achieve their desired house design while minimizing the amount of excavation and fill.

Planning for this project began in 2023. We began working closely with the client and designer early on. The build date was pushed out a year, so this allowed for time to revise and reconsider some aspects of the build. Strong collaboration and good communication led to a design that was well thought out and refined to the clients needs and vision. For this home we utilized high performance building methods with economical materials to deliver an exceptionally air tight envelope.

We really enjoyed fabricating the timber frame accents and love the large covered patios.

We built the 1000sqft workshop first to provide a space where we could store and prepare materials throughout the build. We also worked closely with the design team to figure out how to connect the shop and house via the breezeway.

This is a step 4 build, with passive house level air tightness.
